3hdc-puff: [Yarn over, insert hook into stitch, yarn over and pull through] x 3 times in the same stitch, yarn over and pull through 6 loops on hook, yarn over and pull through the remaining 2 loops on hook.

Pattern Instructions

Foundation ch: Multiple of 5, plus 1 beg ch.
For example, start with (5 x 4) + 1 = 21 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (WS):	1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * 1sc in next ch; rep from * to end.
Row 2:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), 2dc in same st, * ch1, sk next 4 sc, 4dc in next sc; rep from * to last 5 sts, ch1, sk next 4 sc, 3dc in last sc, turn.
Row 3:	ch2, * [3hdc-puff, ch1, 2dc, ch1, 3hdc-puff] in next ch1-sp; rep from * to t-ch, 1dc in t-ch, turn.
Row 4:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), 2dc in same st, * ch1, 4dc in the center of 2 puff sts; rep from * to last puff st, ch1, 3dc on top of last puff st, turn.

Repeat Rows 3 & 4 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
