Staircase Filet Crochet Stitch is a type of filet crochet pattern that looks like a bunch of stairs going up or down, depending on how you see it!
The pattern is 12 stitches long and repeats over 6 rows. But, as it is just made using double crochet and chain stitches, it is quite easy to learn and make.

Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (Multiple of 12) + 1, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (12 x 2) + 1 + 3 = 28 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (RS): | 1dc in 4th ch from hook, ch2, sk next 2 ch, * 1dc in next 6 ch, ch2, sk next 2 ch, 1dc in next 2 ch; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in next dc, * ch6, sk next 4 dc, 1dc in next 2 dc, ch2, 1dc in next 2 dc; rep from * to end, making last dc in t-ch, turn. |
| Row 3: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in next dc, * ch2, 1dc in next 2 dc, ch2, sk next 2 ch of ch6-sp, 1dc in next 4 ch of ch6-sp, 1dc in next 2 dc; rep from * to end, making last dc in t-ch, turn. |
