Small Shell & V Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar

Small Shell & V crochet stitch is a simple and elegant crochet stitch featuring horizontal arrangement of shells stitches and ‘V’ motifs on a wavy chain.

The pattern has a 8 stitches long repeating motif that is worked over 2 rows. It’s not the most complicated stitch as it just uses basic chain, single crochet, and double crochet stitches.

Foundation ch: (Multiple of 8) + 2, plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (8 x 3) + 2 + 3 = 29 ch for a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):	1dc in 4th ch from hook, ch2, sk next 3 ch, 1sc in next ch, * ch2, sk next 3 ch, (1dc, ch3, 1dc) in next ch, ch2, sk next 3 ch, 1sc in next ch; rep from * to last 4 ch, ch2, sk next 3 ch, 2dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2:	ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, * ch2, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next sc, ch2, 1sc in next ch3-sp; rep from * to last ch3-sp, ch2, sk next dc, (2dc, ch1, 2dc) in next sc, ch2, 1sc in t-ch, turn.
Row 3:	ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in 1st sc, ch2, 1sc in next ch1-sp, * ch2, (1dc, ch3, 1dc) in next sc, ch2, 1sc in next ch1-sp; rep from * to last ch1-sp, ch2, 2dc in last sc, turn.

Repeat Rows 2 & 3 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
