Ridged Chevron Crochet Stitch | Crochet with Aabhar
Ridged Chevron crochet stitch features a classic chevron arrangement of double crochet but made in back loop to give the texture. The first row of the pattern is regular dc stitch but after from the second row, all are in back loop.
The pattern is somewhat simple as it is just a one row repeat and the chevron is spread over 12 stitches. You can make things like blankets, afghans, or anything with a large enough drape so that the wavy pattern is clearly visible.

Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (Multiple of 12), plus 3 beg ch.
For example, start with (12 x 2) + 3 = 27 ch for a sample swatch.
Note: from Row 2 onward, dc is always made in back loop only.

| Row 2: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), 1dc in same st, * 1dc in next 3 dc, [dc2tog over next 2 dc] x 2 times, 1dc in next 3 ch, [2dc in next ch] x 2 times; rep from * to last 11 sts, 1dc in next 3 dc, [dc2tog over next 2 dc] x 2 times, 1dc in next 3 dc, 2dc in t-ch, turn. |
Repeat Row 2 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
