Pattern Description

Corded Rib is a single row repeat knitting pattern with highly embossed columns of knot-like stitches, alternating with receded columns. It creates an overall ribbing effect, making it ideal for cuffs, hems, neckbands, and stretchy garments.

This free knit pattern is written in US terms, and you can also check out other common knit abbreviations. 

CO	Cast on
k	Knit
k2tog	Knit 2 stitches together
p	Purl
rep	Repeat
RS	Right side
st (s)	Stitch (es)
tbl	through back loop
WS	Wrong side

Special stitch –

make-knot:

1. k2tog tbl without slipping sts from the left needle.
2. slip 1st stitch off the left needle.
3. knit next stitch through back loop and then slip it off the left needle.

Pattern Instructions

CO (Multiple of 4 stitches) + 2 stitches. For example, you can cast on (4 x 6) + 2 = 26 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

Row 1 (RS):

k1, * make-knot, p2; rep from * to last st, k1.
