Pattern Instructions
Foundation ch: (any multiple of 5) + 2, plus 1 beg ch. For example, start with (5 x 4) + 2 + 1 = 23 ch for a sample swatch.
| Row 1 (RS): | 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * 1sc in next st; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 2: | ch1, 1sc in 1st sc, 1sc in next sc, * ch3, sk next 3 sc, 1sc in next 2 sc; rep from * to end, turn. |
| Row 3: | ch3 (counts as 1dc), * 5dc in ch3-sp; rep from * to last ch3-sp, 1dc in last sc, turn. |
| Row 4: | ch1, 1sc in 1st dc, 1sc in next dc, ch3, sk next 3 dc, * 1sc in next 2 dc, ch3, sk next 3 dc; rep from * to last 2 dc, 1sc in next dc, 1sc in t-ch, turn. |
Repeat Rows 3 & 4 of this free crochet stitch pattern until you have reached the desired length for your work.
