Alternating Lace Stitch Pattern is an all-over lace knitting pattern that’s quite easy to learn. It creates an overall pattern of a repeating set of six eyelets arranged in columns. These eyelet columns are arranged in a brickwork-style pattern with stockinette stitches between them.

This pattern works up quickly as every other row is a straight purl row. The Alternating Lace Stitch Pattern is ideal for making airy fabrics for projects such as summer tops, light wraps, shawls, or a throw.

CO (Multiple of 6) + 5 stitches. For example, you can knit a swatch of (6 x 2) + 5 = 17 stitches.

Row 1:	(RS) – k1, * yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k3; rep from * to last 4 sts, yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1.
Row 2:	Purl.
Row 3:	Rep Row 1.
Row 4:	Rep Row 2.
Row 5:	Rep Row 1.
Row 6:	Rep Row 2.
Row 7:	Rep Row 1.
Row 8:	Rep Row 2.
Row 9:	k4, * yo, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yo, k3; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 10:	Purl.
Row 11:	Rep Row 9.
Row 12:	Rep Row 10.
Row 13:	Rep Row 9.
Row 14:	Rep Row 10.
Row 15:	Rep Row 9.
Row 16:	Rep Row 10.
