Pattern Description
Fishtail Lace Stitch Pattern is a vertical all-over lace pattern that looks like columns of fishtails! It is a beginner-friendly pattern and easy to make if you are just starting with lace knitting.
As you repeat the pattern, you will get arches or fishtails aligned in vertical columns stacked over each other. It also gives the appearance of a chevron or ripple pattern.
Fishtail Lace Stitch Pattern is a delicate lace pattern that looks best for making shawls, scarves, and blankets! You can even make a single column of the Fishtail Stitch Pattern on the edge of a shawl instead of knitting it all over!

Pattern Instructions
CO (Multiple of 8 sts) + 1 st. For example, you can cast on (8 x 2) + 1 = 17 stitches to knit a sample swatch.

| Row 2: | Purl. |
| Row 3: | k2, * yf, k1, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k1, yf, k3; rep from * to last 7 sts, yf, k1, sl 1, k2tog, psso, k1, yf, k2. |
| Row 4: | Purl. |
| Row 5: | k3, * yf, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k5; rep from * to last 6 sts, yf, sl 1, k2tog, psso, yf, k3. |
